LandscapeThis picture was taken by Mickey Shannon and I think it is the best fitting picture for the landscape picture because of the colors. It has a lot of really vivid and beautiful colors that aren't dull and make it a beautiful picture. I also liked how the mountains have a colorful reflection in the water. The photo give off a calm feeling.

Current Events/NewsThis picture was taken by Anthony Quintano. This picture is the best for current events because it was just 911 and this picture beautifully displays the 911 memorial and its location along with the beauty of they city. It very beautiful with all the lights of the buildings and the blue memorial lights give me Batman vibes.

PoliticsThis picture was taken by Doug Mills with New York Times. I think this best fits the subject because even though the Make America Great Again sign is not in focus but not so much that you can make out the works easily and it gives it more power in the picture im going to say. I also like how some of the crowd that are all happy, excited and cheering are in focus while others aren't just to captivate that feeling of excitement and adrenaline. The way the President is also in focus but behind him isn't makes the picture a lot more powerful and it makes it more of rising action to something exciting.

Historical EventThis picture was taken by Brenden Smialowski in June of 2019 when President Trump stepped foot onto North Korea and shakes hand with their leader. Aiding in bringing more peace between the US and North Korea. This picture is the best for its topic because it really really captures the moment, and how important it is. How the North Korean photographers/news media are in the background intensely taking pictures of such an important moment provides more of the feeling of importance. It also makes it more intense how Kim is watching every move the president makes as he steps into North Korea.

Day-In-The-Life/PersonalThis picture is actually of me, my friend Katerina Gordon took this picture about a year ago while we were on a hike after dinner. This picture is best for this category because it fits more with the personal part of this topic. I like how only I was in focus and only a few of the blades of grass ended up in focus. This pictures really brings more eye focus on me and you can tell I'm in a forest with the variety of trees that are out of focus. This is also more of a personal topic of picture because it's of me and day in the life too because this was on a hike and hiking is a regular part of my life. This picture was also taken on an iphone XR, so such a great photo didn't even come from an expensive and fancy camera.

TravelThis picture was taken by Mina Mimbu. I thought this was the best fitting picture because it shows a lot of hard work put in to make the picture look so amazing. Like how there looks to be smoke and floating fire coals. I also liked how just the child and the flowers near the child were in focus but everything else wasn't.

Fashion/ProductThis picture was taken by Le Mieux business photographer, no name was given. It really shows the brand name and makes the products look even more stand-out and eye catching. This picture makes me really want to go shopping for their saddle pad sets. How there is not background and its a grey ombré sets the mood of the picture.

WildlifeThis picture was taken by Nikolas Hess and this picture is absolutely stunning to me. I think it best fits this subject of wildlife because it really captures the look of the rattlesnake. It really captures the deadly look of the snake with that rattle and those focused eyes. It makes the snake live up to how dangerous it is and how scary it is. I really like how you can see each and every scale and even down to the grains of sand/dirt on the rattle. The eyes are the most captivating part to me of this picture, they are so beautiful yet make me shiver at the same time.

PortraitThis picture is actually of a good friend of mine who does photoshoots and this is my favorite of all of the pictures she has had taken. The picture was taken by local photographer Mikayla Storms and this is such a beautiful picture of Hallie and her horse Tiny before she had him trained to be a hunter jumper. I think this is the best of this category because it really focus's on her face and it's almost as Tiny's face isn't quite in focus because when you look at the picture you look straight at Hallie. You can also tell it's cold and winter without even having the background in focus. This overall is just a stunning portrait of her.
